Therapy for Teens
A place to think out loud
Therapy for teens ages 13 to 17, offered with our associate clinicians.
Who it is for
Teens with a lot on their plate
Being thirteen to seventeen is loud. Grades, group chats, parents, first relationships, and a body that keeps changing all compete for attention.
Some teens come in because a parent noticed something. Others ask to come themselves. Both are fine starting points.
Online sessions often suit teens well. Screens are familiar, and talking from their own room can feel less formal than sitting in an office.
Whatever brings a teen in, the first goal is simple: a relationship with an adult who listens without rushing to give advice or report back.
What we work on
What teens bring
School
Pressure, grades, and the feeling of always being behind.
Home
Arguments, divorce, siblings, or simply not feeling understood.
Friendships
Drama, exclusion, and figuring out who your people are.
Dating
Crushes, breakups, and what a good relationship looks like.
Anxiety
Racing thoughts, stomachaches before school, avoiding things.
Low mood
Pulling away, sleeping a lot, losing interest in what used to be fun.
Who your teen will see
Two associate clinicians join Therapure in October 2026. Their full profiles, including registration and supervision details, will appear here soon.
Teen sessions are with these associates, who practice under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Naomi's approach, direct, honest, genuine, and kind, guides how the whole practice works.
For parents
How parents are involved
A parent or guardian usually gives consent and joins part of the first meeting. After that, the teen's sessions are mostly their own. Clinicians may suggest a family check in now and then.
Teens get privacy so they can speak openly. Safety concerns are the exception, and those rules are explained to everyone at the start.
What can shift
Small signs worth noticing
Parents sometimes notice their teen naming feelings instead of slamming doors, or asking for help a little sooner. Every teen moves at their own pace, and progress isn't guaranteed.
What sessions look like
Weekly 45-minute video sessions from a quiet room at home. Teens can bring music they like, a meme, or nothing at all.
Fees in brief
$150
per 45-minute individual session with an associate clinician
