I believe that understanding ourselves is an important part of creating meaningful change. Our experiences, relationships, and the messages we receive about who we are shape how we see ourselves and move through the world. Over time, we develop ways of coping, relating, and protecting ourselves. Sometimes those patterns continue to serve us; other times, they leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward.

My approach to therapy is grounded, thoughtful, and genuine. I value honesty, curiosity, and creating a nonjudgmental space where people can explore their experiences without feeling the need to have everything figured out. I'm interested in the stories we tell ourselves, the expectations we carry, and the ways our past influences our present. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding rather than judgment, and that we can learn to relate to ourselves differently without dismissing everything it took to become who we are.

My background in social work has shaped my understanding of how our personal experiences are connected to our relationships, identities, families, and communities. I believe it's important to see people in the context of their lives and to recognize the many factors that influence their well-being. This perspective informs my commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that honors each person's experiences and strengths.

I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-informed approaches to support self-understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful growth. I see therapy as a collaborative process that makes room for difficult emotions, complicated experiences, and new possibilities. Rather than offering easy answers, I want to help people get curious about themselves, recognize what may no longer be working, and explore what feels more aligned with who they want to be.

I also work with teens as they navigate identity, friendships, family dynamics, school stress, and the pressures of growing up. Adolescence is an important time to develop self-awareness, understand emotional patterns, and build skills that can support healthier relationships and well-being into adulthood. Therapy can offer young people space to explore who they are, question expectations, and work through challenges before unhelpful patterns become more deeply ingrained. My background in school social work informs my approach, and I strive to create a space where teens feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves as they build confidence in navigating the world around them.

You don't have to be in crisis or know exactly what you want to work on to begin therapy. Sometimes, it's enough to recognize that something feels off or that you're ready to understand yourself in a different way. My hope is to create a space where you feel understood, can explore what matters to you, and begin finding new ways of relating to yourself and others.
