Online Therapy in Scottsdale
Online therapy for Scottsdale adults and couples who want to talk about expectations, closeness, and what remains unsaid. A private conversation can begin without making your life look different first.
What You Bring
Keeping things composed can become a habit.
You might be meeting expectations at work and home while finding it harder to say what you need. In a relationship, avoiding difficult feelings can initially seem considerate, then leave both partners guessing. High expectations can also make ordinary uncertainty feel like failure. I work with adults and couples who want to understand that pressure, including the part of them that would rather stay busy than risk an honest conversation.
How Online Sessions Work
Privacy is part of the arrangement.
We use secure video, and you choose a room where the conversation cannot be overheard. Headphones can help, but they do not replace privacy. If our connection drops, we attempt to reconnect and use the phone contingency we discussed beforehand if appropriate. You must be in California, Arizona, or Missouri for each appointment. I am licensed in California, Arizona, and Missouri, and we check where you are joining from.

Couples Therapy
Couples meetings last 60 minutes. You can bring distance, intimacy, finances, or disagreement about priorities. We look at how both partners respond, rather than making one person the problem.

I can be direct without asking you to perform.
Internal Family Systems helps us understand protective habits, including minimizing emotions or keeping control. Psychodynamic work asks where those habits first made sense. Narrative ideas give us a way to question the rule that being successful means never needing anything. With couples, Emotionally Focused Therapy focuses on the repeating exchange between you, so criticism or silence can be understood in the context of attachment and vulnerability.
