Online Therapy in Long Beach
For Long Beach couples, parents, and adults caring for family. Online sessions give us time to talk about your experience, not only the people and tasks that depend on you.
What You Bring
The person doing the caring also has feelings.
Helping a parent, raising children, or supporting a partner can fill the week before you have considered your own needs. You may feel guilty wanting rest, or resentful that nobody seems to notice the work involved. Couples can disagree about how much to give extended family while both are already tired. We can understand those reactions without treating love and frustration as mutually exclusive.
How Online Sessions Work
A session needs privacy, even at home.
We meet through secure video while you are in California, Arizona, or Missouri. Arrange a room where children, relatives, and coworkers cannot overhear you; headphones are helpful but not enough on their own. If the connection drops, we try reconnecting and discuss a phone backup using the contingency agreed beforehand. I am licensed in California, Arizona, and Missouri. We discuss uninterrupted time before beginning.

Couples Therapy
Couples sessions take 60 minutes. We can explore parenting as partners, time together, and decisions about relatives. Both partners have a voice in understanding how responsibilities affect the relationship.

We can separate a need from the guilt around it.
Internal Family Systems helps us hear the part that takes responsibility and the part that feels overlooked. Psychodynamic ideas explore where those family roles began. Narrative work lets us question inherited rules about who should do the caring. Emotionally Focused Therapy helps couples notice the cycle around asking for help, feeling criticized, or withdrawing. I work with you honestly and kindly, leaving room for circumstances that are not simple.
